You are having difficulty connecting to a session. First try checking the Connecting user-guide, as it may contain some useful information.
Otherwise, hopefully an error message has appeared on the screen; in which case look for it (or something similar to it) as a heading below. Otherwise look at the end of the list for more suggestions, or return to the Troubleshooting section and keeping looking.

Your device is probably a Blackberry and you’re unable to connect; seeing this error message. Try configuring your TCP settings.
Perhaps your telco is firewalling your network access? Read more about firewalls. Or perhaps you need to configure your network connection.
This message can appear if you are using a WAP profile instead of an Internet one to connect.
On newer Sony Ericsson phones, for example a W880i, in Settings > Internet Settings there is a section for Settings for Java. In here, you will need to select to use a profile called Contract Internet, or you might need to make a new profile using Contract Internet.
For T-Mobile in Czech Republic and Nokia 6230i you need special settings for gprs, mobil operator will send you pdf with instructions after your request. Before that change MidpSSH give me Writer error.
If you have a SonyEricsson K600i go to preferences> Connectivity> Settings for Java> INTERNETgprs
The default LoginGraceTime for openssh is 120 seconds, which was too little for my nokia 6020 to complete the login. You might want to try setting the LoginGraceTime to 4m or so.
